Conference „Danube Ports Days 2023.“ was held on November 23rd and 24th in Vienna, Austria. On that occasion, representatives of our Company had the opportunity to participate in meetings and gatherings dedicated to the improving of cooperation through joint action in order to investigate key aspects of port development in the Danube area.
Initiated by DAPhNE- Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values EU programme, and successfully continued on a yearly basis by DIONYSUS, the Danube Ports Days have become a must-attend event providing a transnational platform to discuss, by bringing together port authorities, shipowners, tourist service providers as well as experts from the area of port activities.
The main goal and intention of this meeting is to improve the branch of port business and to identify, as well as to propose solutions for the implementation of green objectives for inland ports paired with their economic development.
Our representatives had the opportunity to actively participate in forums that dealt with:
- Study of green river ports,
- Environmental impacts of port activities,
- The importance of connecting Europe through inland waterway transport and ports,
- Enabling sustainable management and development of inland ports,
- Challenges for implementing environmental measures and legislation.
